I’m putting my blog on a hiatus. I don’t know for how long, but I feel the need to do it. What’s waiting for me this year is really stressing me out.
I will maybe post things once in a while. I’m considering creating another blog, in which I’ll sometimes write my opinion on a film (this is the end of the year, so many promising films to come!!) or a series episode [I’m currently watching Outlander and I’ve started Vikings (seeing George Blagden in my neighbourhood a few days ago has nooooooooooooooooting to do with it lol)], because I know I need to talk about these things! And I’ll still write stupid things on twitter!
You’ve come to pay me a visit, how gallant you are.Marie Antoinette (Sofia Coppola)
Did Pride make you feel political about your sexuality? “It made me feel that people have to stop talking about the difference between people. The difference between England and Ireland, men and women, middle class and working class people, gay and straight people… It’s endless. People are more similar than we think. That is a political ideal I think. I feel enormously positive, maybe I’m too optimistic, but I think this film will change attitudes. One of the reviews said it’s a film that makes you want to punch the air - and that’s exactly how Pride made me feel.” - Andrew Scott
